Call for Solutions

to Enhance the Medical Activities at Bnai Zion Medical Center

Bnai Zion Medical Center invites the public to submit ideas, technologies, or solutions that can improve or advance the medical center’s operations (“solutions”) for its patients and the public in Israel.

Background

The medical center continually seeks to advance and improve the medical services it provides to its patients.

As part of this effort, this call for solutions is published to harness the human capital and initiative of individuals from the “Start-up Nation” who are patients or visitors at the medical center.

We at the medical center believe that the best ideas can come from you, the patients and visitors, and we invite you to submit solutions that can improve or promote the medical center’s operations. These solutions can be in any field or domain, whether technological, mechanical, computational, or other.

Solution Submission Method

Solutions should be submitted using the form attached to this call (“the form”), which will detail the solution submitter’s (“submitter”) information, the problem description, the solution itself, and additional details. Send it to the email: Innovation@b-zion.org.il

Review and Evaluation of Information Received

Each solution will undergo a process of review and evaluation by a committee composed of the medical center’s professional members relevant to the solution (“the committee”).

The decision on a deeper examination of the solution or a feasibility test will be made at the sole discretion of the committee.

Committee members will sign a commitment to maintain the confidentiality of the solution and must not disclose it unless it is decided that the solution is suitable for implementation (as detailed in the form).

The committee’s decision regarding the solution will be communicated to the submitter, and the medical center and the submitter will act according to the submission form instructions for its implementation.

Submitter's Rights in the Solution

By submitting a solution in this call, the submitter declares and confirms that the solution is their exclusive invention, that the solution does not constitute someone else’s idea/invention, and that they irrevocably waive all rights in the solution (including intellectual property rights, copyright, inventor’s rights, moral rights, etc.).

If the solution is found suitable by the committee and is commercialized by the medical center, the submitter will be entitled to 10 percent of the profits generated by the medical center as a result of the commercialization of the solution, in accordance with and subject to the instructions of the form.

If the solution is found unsuitable by the committee, the submitter is entitled to use the solution for any purpose, and the medical center will have no rights in it.

Submitter's Investment
and Collaboration in Implementing the Solution

The implementation of the solution significantly depends on the time investment and collaboration of the submitter. The submitter is required to invest at least 16 hours per month for the implementation of the solution.

General Terms

This call for solutions is not an invitation to offer proposals or a tender process but rather an initiative designed to promote the medical activities of the medical center for the benefit of its patients and the public in Israel.

This call does not constitute an agreement and does not create any obligation on the part of the medical center, except for the obligation to pay the submitter their share of the commercialization profits as detailed above.

Submitting a solution in this call will not constitute an offer or acceptance as defined in the General Part of the Contracts Law, 1973.

All expenses incurred by the submitter for submitting the solution will be at their own expense.
